FLY EVENT- Hennessy Artistry Event NYC

Last night I got to take my friend to the Hennesssy Artistry event at Terminal 5 last night.

Seriously Common makes me love him more and more every time I see him perform. His performances are so filled with energy dope ass performances. Once I find my usb cord I will upload the video and pictures from my outfit for the night. I left a little early but overall great event. Here are some of the red carpet pics. Im am definitely not a fan of Ashanti's sequined pants.

VMA 2009 the creme de la creme

The VMA's this year has by far been one of the most entertaining shows thus far, probably for the wrong reasons. Nor do I know why everyone is so shocked by Kanye's random outburst. However I don't have time to recap the entire show but I will give you my favorites from last night.:)

Lady Love

So I got a ton of pictures in an email from LeToya's album release party. I must say I'am feeling the lil swag she got going. She's definitely on the come up, trying to take the shine away from Queen B. The few tracks I have heard from the album are really good, relatable, with lots of energy . Her second single "she aint got" gets me a lil hype, (its that boss bitch syndrome)

Luckett's look for the evening was glamorous yet very simple and chic. Paring her sequined frock with nude heels. I am not too sure how I feel about the make up but she will get a pass this time.

Want to steal Miss Luckett's dress search no further Nordstrom's. got it!

After a very uncertain summer, and the winding down of August (sigh), we can safely say that fall is definitely upon us. Fall brings us a new school year, the fashion collections and editorials we are dying to see, and of course new music! Here are some new albums to be released in the not too distant autumn months by some our favorite Femme Royale-worthy male artists.

Ohhhh Trey! Our fave man candy will be releasing his 3rd studio album "Ready" on 9.1.09 on the heels of his "Anticipation" mixtape release. For all those who have experienced "Anticipation" we are sure he will not dissappoint with "Ready", because we know that Mr. Songz does aim to please his fans. The king of the cool kids is making a big name for himself, recently covering Complex and URB magazines. A day prior to the release on 9.14.09, tune into BET's Rising Icons series. He is featured as the "Breakout Rising Icon".

Ryan Leslie "Transition"

Musical genius/entrepreneur/community leader Ryan Leslie is set to release his 2nd studio album "Transition" on 10.13.09. Known for his heavy synth-production and catching melodies, "Transition" is looking to be an instant hit. "You're Not My Girl", the first single off the album is a smooth, head-bopping, r&b/dance track that can get the party grooving. Along with Kid Cudi, he will also be featured on BET's Rising Icons series. Tune into his performance on 10.26.09 where he will be featured as the "Suave Rising Icon".

Taping for this performance is THIS FRIDAY 8.21.09 at the BET Studios in NYC. He announced this via his Twitter earlier:

Wale "Attention Deficit"

His name is Wale and he's coming to get it. This DC-bred rapper backed by none other than Mark Ronson (he is signed to his Allido/Interscope imprint), is on his way to the top. Having much success with his mixtapes "Back to the Feature" and "The Mixtape About Nothing", Wale is ready to release his solo debut 10.20.09 headed by the infectious single "Chillin" featuring none other than pop icon in the making, Lady Gaga. He is the third of our four Boys of the Fall to be featured on BET's Rising Icons series. His performance airs 8.31.09...he is the "D.C. Rising Icon".
